چکیده

Search log k-anonymization is based on the elimination of infrequent queries under exact (or nearly exact) matching conditions, which usually results in a big data loss and impaired utility. We present a more flexible, semantic approach to k-anonymity that consists of three steps: query concept mining, automatic query expansion, and affinity assessment of expanded queries. Based on the observation that many infrequent queries can be seen as refinements of a more general frequent query, we first model query concepts as probabilistically weighted ngrams and extract them from the search log data. Then, after expanding the original log queries with their weighted concepts, we find all the k-affine expanded queries under a given affinity threshold Θ, modeled as a generalized k-core of the graph of Θ-affine queries. Experimenting with the AOL data set, we show that this approach achieves levels of privacy comparable to those of plain k-anonymity while at the same time reducing the data losses to a great extent.

Query Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology

Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...

Providing Privacy through Plausibly Deniable Search

Query-based web search is an integral part of many people’s daily activities. Most do not realize that their search history can be used to identify them (and their interests). In July 2006, AOL released an anonymized search query log of some 600K randomly selected users. While valuable as a research tool, the anonymization was insufficient: individuals were identified from the contents of the q...

Using Search Results to Microaggregate Query Logs Semantically

Query log anonymization has become an important challenge nowadays. A query log contains the search history of the users, as well as the selected results and their position in the ranking. These data are used to provide a personalized re-ranking of results and trend studies. However, query logs can disclose sensitive information of the users. Hence, query logs must be submitted to an anonymizat...

On Generalized Coprime Graphs

Paul Erdos defined the concept of coprime graph and studied about cycles in coprime graphs. In this paper this concept is generalized and a new graph called Generalized coprime graph is introduced. Having observed certain basic properties of the new graph it is proved that the chromatic number and the clique number of some generalized coprime graphs are equal.
